How to continue to hone your skills once you have started
If you are looking to become a DJ or already are one you should always try and keep your skills sharp. Now what if you are in a place where you have no gear to practice with, well what I tend to do is to listen to a mix by another DJ, as well as just my tracks. By listening to my tracks I am able to get ideas for where to que the track, and where to bring in another. I have found that I also find what tracks sound awesome together and to just push my mixes that much further. Now the reason why I would listen to DJ Mixes is because it can help give you inspiration for your own mixes, as well as understanding the techniques that the DJ uses. For example I would listen to a mix from Sensation, and then I would analyze it while it was playing to try and figure out why the DJ’s mix was so amazing. Now this doesn’t mean that you can easily become a world class DJ, but it helps you to continue to hone in some of your own skills off the tables. Remember you need to be open to new things! Another little thing you can do is to record one of your mixes, put it as an MP3 or burn it to a CD and let some of your friends hear your work. Also ask for some critique on your mix so you can be sure that your mixes will always be the best. I learned alot from having friends critique my mixes, and that has helped to improve my skills as well. Simple things like this can really push you up the ladder.
Never Let the Music Die
Dj Vunker
Here is a mix that you can watch,

Wow it is so cool to see how pashionet you are with music! Most people today don’t have that pashion you have that same pashion you need to get someone in life. What i would like to know is how come you are so into music and Djing? When did you start Djing?
Well I grew up with lots of electronic dance music as a child, it would almost always be on in the car, and when I received my first CD player I would listen to it even more! So growing up with it and building a large love for music really made me want to do more with it. Then my cousin who had worked on becoming a dj gave me his dj gear since he changed his mind and became a photographer. So I then had the gear and bought some records from discogs.com and began to mix. I watched many videos from the dj tutorial link that I have posted here and that helped me gain some skills. Then I also had a firend who’s dad used to be an awesome DJ in Holland. So I had an oppurtunity to learn to DJ with an awesome DJ who did it professionally and in some big clubs too. But as for how long I have been DJ’ing, I have done it for a few years and really stated to work hard on it in the past year or so, because now I have more time to work on it. It really is alot of fun and I do love djing ALOT! Now this sounds really cliche maybe even wierd, but it gives me a feeling that nothing else can really give. You just end up with a serious sense of control and power over the crowd as you rock the house with your beats. But thats a little information on myself and how I began DJ’ing
